    Games start Thursday, 7/10, with the higher seed hosting the first game. The next game will be Friday, 7/11, at the lower seed.

    haven't heard much about the Benson team. who / what do they have?

    We were unable to play Benson this year due to 4 different rain outs (conference games had to be played), and they were the only team in Area I West we did not see this year. I have no idea what they bring to the table which is a bit unsettling in a best of 3 series.

    They did not play very many games this year, and they were under .500 for the season. But that is the beauty of the playoffs, everyone is 0-0 with a fresh start and you just have to survive.

    I have to keep up with it through other coaches- we can't even get a box score in the Herald Sun.

    Cary Post 67 beat Garner Post 232 tonight in Game 1 @ Post 67.

    Score was something like 7-2.

    Game 2 tomorrow night @ Garner HS
    Game 3 will be back in Cary, if needed.

    Benson Post 109 13

    Durham was the story of 2 different teams tonight.
    1st- They showed why they are 11-3 over their last 14 games by getting out to a 10-1 lead after 4. And by gutting out a win in the bottom of the 9th.
    2nd- They showed why they started 2-5: In the 7th inning: 6 unearned runs after 2 outs. For the game, Durham gave up 6 unearned runs on 6 walks and 6 errors.

    Durham leads the series 1-0, with game 2 @ Benson (South Johnston High School) Friday night @ 7pm.

    Area I West needs a person to run either a site or a blog and pass out business cards at games so fans will know where to go. Problem is that the coaches are probably like most of ours in that they won't cooperate.
