Area II Update

    Morehead City will face Hope Mills and Wilmington Post 10 will face Whiteville in 2nd round action.
    Wilmington Post 10 appears to be favorite based on victories over Whiteville and Morehead City in the season and a long winning streak.
    I think the winners of these two series play for Area Championship

    Only the Area II Champ go to the State Tournament if that team is not Morehead City, correct? Or am I thinking something completely way off.

    That is correct. Only the area 2winner advances unless the winner is mhc post 46

    Wilmington Post 10 defeats Whiteville 7-1 in the 1st game of best of five series.

    Whiteville defeated Wilmington 6-5 last night.
    Game three tonight. Series tied at 1-1

    Hope Mills defeated Morehead City 7-4. Do not where the series is at this time.

    Post 10s game was rained out tonight. Due to weather, the series with Whiteville was reduced from best of five to best if three, giving Post 10 the win. The next game will be against Hope Mills on Friday night in Fayetteville on campus of Methodist University. Saturdays game will be at Legion Stadium

    Post 10 won game 2 against Hope Mills with a score of 12-4. The series is now tied at 1 each. Game 3 will be played at Methodist University tomorrow night at 7 p.m.

    Hope Mills won game 1 6-4

    FINAL SCORE: Post 10: 10, Hope Mills: 4. Post 10 takes the lead in the series (2-1). Tomorrow's game will be at Legion Stadium at 7 p.m.
