    This is correct, you do not change the brackets because a lower seed up-sets a higher seed. High Point plays Mooresville and Randolph Co. plays the Rowan / Stanley winner.

    Rowan moves on to third round after defeating Stanly 3 games to 1.

    After a sluggish start for Rowan and after trailing most of the night, Rowan County's American Legion Baseball team finally got the big hits and made the mistakes hurt to prevail in a slug fest Sunday night. Rowan starter Nick Smith had trouble getting outs and Stanly jumped on top 3-1 in the bottom of the first. Rowan answered to make it 3-3, but once again could not silence the Stanly bats to trail 7-3, and it was not looking too good for the boys from Rowan. Rowan battled all night and really put away the hosts in the end. Noah Holmes hit a game-tying two-run shot to put Rowan ahead to stay at 11-9 in the sixth. Back and forth contest for most of the night before Rowan really exploded and Stanly had no answer. Reliever Alex Litaker pitched three solid innings only surrendering one run to earn the victory for Post 342 as they advance to the third round to face familiar foe Randolph County. Game one will be Tuesday night at Newman Park.

    Trey Holmes also homered to lead off the game for RC.
    Congrats to Stanly on a fine season!

    Rowan moves State tournament and Area 3 championship monday night against Mooresville, High Point winner.

    Rowan close to breaking season record for home runs set in 1989

    Mooresville wins game 5 and takes series against High Point. Will play Rowan Co starting tonight. First game tonight in Salisbury, game time 7:00pm.

    LKNbaseballfan, were you there last night? Good crowd, and nice to see that LKN boy (Whitley) close things out the final 2 innings on the mound. Congrats to Mooresville legion, first time ever making state tournament, good luck to them. I hope to see them play Rowan next couple nights, look me up.
