This was one heckuva series for both teams. Both teams played hard-nose baseball and 'one' had to win and the other lose. Good Luck to Western in the next series against Rowan. Wossa, you mentioned showcase ball impacting this series and I totally agree with you especially this late in the Legion season...just "A Thought".

HP/ Western Series

High Point hits the crap out of the baseball, I think it came down to pitching tonight, Western had one left and was fresh and he pitched a gem(Jacob Russell). Only allowed 5 runners to reach base. This was a hard fought series. There was a total of 21 homeruns hit in the 5 game series. One thing I want to comment on is that High Point team is a class act, it starts with their coach. I have spoken with him many times over this 5 game series and his team is a direct relection of him. He makes and expects them to be a class act.

Thanks Wossa and Athought for the encouragement! We are going against an anuual powerhouse in Legion baseball so it will be a up battle for us! It is also an honor to play in this round, we are only a 6 year old program, so we feel very humble to be here.

Someone mentioned showcase baseball, it hits us hard also. I would love to see more college scouts show-up for the games. But I think they have forgotten Legion even exist. Hello coaches there is something other than showcase. Damn, I even saw where some showcase teams charge for tryouts. (sorry I will get off my soapbox)(showcase guys go ahead and rip me)
