    Let me get this right...

    Only the Area III Champion will move on to the State Tournament because Asheboro is the host team and they also represent Area II.

    I'm assuming this is a typo, because Asheboro has nothing to do with Area 2. As the host team, Asheboro will be the 2nd team at the state tournament representing Area 3.

    Update from Western Forsyth (Game 3 in series with Rowan leading series 2 games to 0)...

    Rowan batting in Top of 6th inning,,, Rowan leading the game 9-2, with runner on 3rd with 2 outs, still batting...

    (Rowan wins series)


    Area III Finals are now set between Kernersville and Rowan County,,, winner goes to state tournament, runnerup goes home as Randolph Co will be the 2nd seed from Area III this year as host of the state tournament.

    Area III Finals will be best 3 of 5 with Rowan Co (as higher seed) getting homefield advantage.

    Congrats to both Western Forsyth and South Rowan on excellent seasons.
