    Game 5 tonight

    Big game in Motown tonight, both teams have surely come on strong during the past month, and it all comes down to the winner of 5th game tonight. Should be great weather, great crowd and great baseball. Loser's season ends, and winner automatically qualifies for the State Legion Tournament to begin July 24 at ECU.

    Winner of tonight's game also begins a best of 3 for Area III title tomorrow night at Newman Park against Rowan County, although the area championship series is simply for the area trophy and state tourney seeding purposes. Tonight's game is essentially the last big game these teams will play until the state tourney.

    Hope to see some of you guys there tonight, wouldn't miss a game like this for anything.

    Mooresville-11 over High Point-9

    Mooresville wins the series 3 games to 2,,,, great game by both sides, beautiful night for baseball. Congrats to High Point for making this nice run, you have a great team, was especially impressed with 2 pitchers (Ogburn and Coffey) despite the fact you gave up 11 runs, Mooresville has just hit the ball in recent weeks. Also Congrats to Mooresville for qualifying for the state tournament (first time in Mooresville legion history).

    Mooresville squares off with Rowan County at Newman Park tomorrow night (Monday) to begin best of 3 series for Area III title, however the area championship series is merely for bragging rights, a trophy and state tourney seeding purposes. Congrats Moors, YOU ARE THERE NOW!!!

    tough loss.

    I figured the Hi Toms would have a tough time beating Lomascola two times but thought with Ogburn and Coffey ready to go tonight they would have enough on the mound to take it.

    Shows why it's never over til its over. Congrats to High Point for making a great run. Tough to lose three in a row after winning the first eight.

    Good luck to Mooresville in the next round and the state playoffs
