After Lexington last night,,,, Kannapolis at home tonight against Mocksville,,, with Stanly County coming to Ktown tomorrow (Sunday).

Which is why I love legion baseball... Great baseball and crowds every night of the summer...

It should be Cy Young. Linza threw against Concord last night.

    Rowan County 13
    Concord 2

    WP - Linza
    LP - Sullivan

    HR - Jamie Hatley (Concord)

Definitely Cy Young against Lexington tonight. Linza pitch last time at Lexington. Rowan had command of the game early as they built a 8-2 lead going into the sixth. For some reason, Linza left the game and was spelled by Lee Dupree who shutout Lexington until the ninth inning. Corbin Shive was brought in to pitch the ninth and was shelled by Lexington hitters. He only lasted 1/3 of an inning and Lexington went on to win in extra innings 9-8.

Young is Rowan's best pitcher right now, so we will see what happens. There will be a massive crowd at Newman Park tonight. Get there early.

Can we get some updated Area III North Division standings ASAP?

I'm curious to see where High Point is sitting right now at 4-3. I know we were behind ER, Randolph, and Kernersville but I know Kernersville lost last night to Surry Co.

High Point plays tonight at home at Finch Field against Rockingham

    Rowan over Lexington

Rowan defeated Lexington tonight 12-7. Lexington jumped out to a 7-1 lead, but Rowan flipped the switch beginning in the fifth inning scoring 11 unanswered runs thru out the rest of the game.

Rowan starter Cy Young was all over the place issuing 5 walks in 3 2/3 innings. Young gave up 7 hits, 6 runs, while striking out 4. Lee Dupree replaced Young in the 4th inning and was super. Dupree gave up a homer to the first batter he faced, but that was it. Dupree struck out 12 Lexington batters in 5 1/3 innings including the sides in the 8th and 9th to finish the game.

Micah Jarrett, Jason Ridenhour, and Weston Church all had 3 hits for Rowan. Church had the go ahead 3 run home run in the 8th.

    Southern Division Standings

    Rowan 13-1
    S. Rowan 9-3
    Stanly 10-4
    Lexington 9-4
