Rowan takes advantage of 4 LD errors and pounds out plenty of hits en route to a trouncing of a still short-handed Post 8 team to stay unbeaten in Area III South play. LD was still without the North Davidson players (which includes their coach) and the Central Davidson players. I'm sure LD will get better but they were thowing one of their better hurlers tonight. Billy Veal was outstanding tonight giving up six hits in five innings to earn the victory. Jon Crucitti was 2 for 2 and reached base all four times for Rowan. Cody Laws and Ethan Marsh also pitched a scoreless inning a piece for Post 342. RC has a big game tomorrow at South Rowan against former Rowan player and assistant coach Michael Lowman, who has South undefeated (pending their game tonight with Stanly). Ace Corbin Shive should be on the bump for Rowan.

Rowan is definitely one of the top teams. Caldwell is definitely going to be there. Caldwell and Rowan looked pretty even.

Should be a good one between South and Rowan tonight. Rowan with the pitching advantage, but these have been the best 2 teams in the Area III South for the last 2 years (not necessarily in the regular season, but the playoffs are where the best teams are decided).
