    Rocky Mount vs Rowan County

    Rocky Mount traveled 3 hours to play Rowan County and came out a winner. Rowan used a boat load of pitchers and no starters along with many position changes. Lots of people played tonight.
    Rocky Mount has a good team.

    Back home from a great trip to Rowan County. Great facility, great fans, and great hospitality. Can't imagine seeing that place packed for the playoffs. I wish we could have taken all our players to play in that kind of environment, but I guess some thought exams were more important than a baseball game haha! Next season we are trying to plan a Saturday and Sunday trip and play a series. Our players have already asked if we have rainouts can we go back and play there again. I wish American Legion was supported in the East like what we saw tonight. Had a blast and can't wait until next seasons visit!!

    PS the man that played the trumpet all game was awesome!! That really added to the atmosphere!!

    Starter Sam Laws for statesville went 7 complete, allowing a 3 run HR to tie the game 7-7 in the 7th

    Jordan Gamble hit a 2 run HR to tie the game at 9-9 in the 8th, and later in the inning pinch hitter Dillon Davis hit a ground ball to a new SS who was errant with the throw to allow 2 runs to score to take an 11-9 lead.

    Statesville 4-4, 2-2 in league play
