    Battle in Mooresville

Mooresville Post 66 over Mooresville Post 537 6-4. Taylor Thurber (LNHS/App. St) started on the hill for Post 66 going 7 strong allowing 4 runs. AJ Nelson (MHS/St. Scholastica) threw the 8th inning for the Moors while Alex Cagide (LNHS) finished the game throwing the ninth inning. Post 66 caught some tough breaks hitting into about 5 double plays with runners in scoring position but still managed to score some runs. Post 537s Hunter Nanney was 3-4 on the night.

Post 66 will be at home again tonight against South Rowan for their third match up of the season. Post 537 will be on the road against Concord i believe. Good luck to both teams. Make the town of Mooresville proud.

What kind of crowd can we expect for a Sunday night Rowan County game? We are really excited to see the best Legion ball in the State. Hope we can compete a little bit.

I dont know about "the best Legion ball in the State",,,,,,,, but you will be playing one of the best Legion programs in the State, that is for sure. Be sure and get some fresh roasted peanuts and have fun. Crowd should be 300-500 this early in the season.

Rowan County got there butts kicked by Mocksville tonight in a rare 10 run rule 13-3 loss for this team. They did not help with lots of errors. They may be mad tomorrow. Don`t be surprised to see lots of pitching changes to condition arms.
