    UC bats were hot cranking out 15 hits in the 6 1/2 inning home/season opener.

    Henderson County is looking to add some non-conference games. We have open dates from June 4-7 and June 17-23. We have other dates but these are big gaps with no games that we would like to fill to keep the boys busy. Post here and I will give contact info.



    Check with the Newell coach, he has some open dates in that time period!

    Road Warriors 3 Gastonia 0

    The Shelby Post 82 Road Warriors got a 3-0 win over Gastonia and NC State recruit Jake Buchannan.

    Post 82 was playing it's 9th straight road game. Eric Shuford tossed a 4 hit shutout for Shelby. Garrett Alexander and Patrick Allen had 2 hits each.

    Buchannan pitched well for Gastonia, but didn't get any support.

    Shelby moves to 8-1 on the year.

    They continue on the road this week as they play at Hickory on Wednesday and at Chester SC on Friday.

    Post 82 comes home for the first time on Saturday night as they welcome old rival Cheryville in the home opener.

    Charlotte moves to 2-0 behind a 4 hit shutout pitched by Jordan Cudney
    and for the second day in a row a 2 run HR by Nate Cudney.

    Good game that was over in 2 hours and 10 minutes. Great pitching from both teams.

    Kelly Tyson with a 2 RBI single in the bottom of the 8th for the game winner.

    Tight game for a while until the UC pitchers struggled with control. Nate Cudney threw well and got the win for 262 while Drew Wallace took the loss for UC.

    Gaston Braves over Pineville 337

    Gaston Braves beat Pineville 337 tonight 5-4.

    Mitch Connor got the win for the Braves and was 3-3 with his 2nd HR of the yr.
    Josh Frazier also hit his 2nd hr of the yr.

    Jason Coker got the loss for Pineville.

    Braves move to 3-1 on the yr.
