    Hickory Post 48 v. Charlotte Post 262

This 2nd round series begins tonight at Myers Park H.S. Does anyone know anything about either of these teams and players? It looks like a good matchup on paper, Area IV E-2 v. Area IV W-3.

Pitching favors Charlotte, and rock solid first 5 hitters. Fun to watch at the plate. They swing, and they swing hard. Looking for extra bases every time up.

    Charlotte v. Hickory

    Charlotte 11 Hickory 10 in 10 innings.

Looks like the teams are pretty evenly matched. Could be an exciting series!

Game 2 tonight at Hickory American Legion Fairgrounds.

Charlotte defeats Hickory 11-10 in 10 innings at Myers Park.

It was a wild one at Jack Sink field tonight. Olen Little (5-0) started for Charlotte and J. Null (a recent draft pick?) for Hickory. Charlotte got to Null in the 6th when they scored 5 runs with 2 out to take a 9-5 lead. Lafone came on for Hickory to record the final out. Little went 6.1 innings and Fisher came on in relief.
Charlotte led 10-7 in top of the 9th. With two runners on, two out, and a 2-2 count, C. Beard hits a 3-run HR to tie the game.
Ryan Wiese pitches out of a bases loaded jam in the top of the 10th and then "Action" Jackson Reisterer hits the first pitch he sees from Markley into LF for a walk-off homerun!

    Charlotte leads the series 1-0.

Charlotte will travel to Hickory Thursday. The probable starter for Charlotte is Austin Campbell (no decision in game 2 against Asheville).

    Re: J. Null

Null is only a rising senior. Good write-up, Sports.
