Area IV Playoffs

    (4)Kings Mountain vs. (5)Hickory
    (3)Rutherford Co. vs. (6)Charlotte
    (2)Gaston Braves vs. (7)Asheville

    (1)Pineville vs. (8)Hendersonville
    (4)Burke Co. vs. (5)Lincoln Co.
    (3)Huntersville vs. (6)Caldwell Co.
    (2)Cherryville vs. (7)Gastonia

    ***Shelby won the draw to receive the #1 seed over Cherryville. Both teams finished 13-3 in the area splitting the season series.

    ***Union County would have been the #2 seed in the Shelby bracket but dropped out because of lack of funds for travel.

    I don't know about everyone else, but these playoffs are set up perfect for Shelby, who have won 15 in a row. The Pineville bracket is loaded with Cherryville, Pineville, Burke, and Caldwell. With Shelby not having to play any of them, the road to the state is a lot easier. What does everyone else think of the playoff matchups, and state your predictions.

    I like the Caldwell/Huntersville rematch from last year in the 1st round. Sets up nice for a Caldwell/Cherryville matchup in the 2nd round if Caldwell can get past Huntersville this year. Shelby seems to be in a good spot.

    Huntersville/Caldwell could be interesting. Huntersville can definitely put up double digit runs on you but they give up a lot too.

    Caldwell was beating Huntersville..... 11-3 maybe.
    Is overrated county back? Series would be tied at 1-1:Lurking:
