Cherryville info for Memorial Day Weekend

This is posted on saturday morning. Talked with Mr. Bennett, (athletic officer?, Post 100) last night, and he said that the home game vs. Shelby Post 82 that was on the schedule for tonight, Saturday, May 29 will NOT BE PLAYED TONIGHT, and will be rescheduled for a latter date.

I would have to guess that they want their whole team available for game against one of their biggest rivals. Coach Reynolds and his son Drew (E. Rutherford) have gone deep in their state playoff. (Haven't checked to see latest HS scores yet today)

Mr. Bennett said that as far as he knew, the home games on Sun & Mon against Hendersonville & Gaston are still on schedule to be played @7:00

 

Cherryville Post 100 roster

Big game in Granite falls tonight. Burke at Caldwell. Probablly the 2 best teams in the region this year. Burke has beat Cherryville and Caldwell has beat Hickory I know its early but a criticle game to set up the league standings

What teams are in Area IV?

 

Sportsrfun,,,, Area 4 consists of all legion teams in the Meck/Lincoln County areas, and anything west of that (see luigiboy's schedule for specific teams).

Area 3 is the piedmont NC,,, and Area 2 & 1 are in eastern NC.

I notice Area 4 is having an All-Star Showcase event on June 29,,,,,,, Area 3 has done this for about 3 years now and its gone over real well, with workouts for younger players all day long, followed by actual allstar game that night. Have heard a lot of good from it, wish you guys the best.
