    Monroe issued too many walks in to score early. Tyler Griffin (Forest Hills) hit a monstrous 3-run home run in the 7th over football stadium seats at Walter Bickett Stadium. Justin McDowell (Forest Hills) pitched 4 scoreless innings in relief striking out a hand full. Monroe falls to 0-2

    Monroe travels to Charlotte tomorrow

    UC improves to 2-1.Shortstop D.J Phillips (Wingate/Parkwood) finished 3-for-4 with four runs and four RBI's, Brad Elwood (Piedmont) 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI's, and Brent Watkins (Surry CC/Weddington) finished 3-for-5 with three RBI's.

    UC plays a doubleheader at Lincoln County Saturday.

    Monroe's goes to 0-3 as the bullpen has lossed the lead in the third game in a row.Good night offensively, again. Dylan Stewart (Wingate/Porter Ridge) chipped in with 3 hits, 2 RBI's, and 2 run's and Jonathan Hawkins (UVA-Wise/Forest Hills) had a pair of RBI's and runs.

    Monroe travels to Gaston tommorow at Sims Park.

    Gaston Braves beat Huntersville 4-3 on Saturday.

    Union County split a double-header at Lincoln County Saturday.UC was 3-2 in Area IV South play going into tonight's game against the Gaston Braves.

    Monroe loses 15-5 at Gastonia-
    Same song and dance as the first three games, had the lead through the early innings, it was tied going into the 7th when the starting pitcher is pulled, and Gastonia scores 10 runs in 1.2 innings. Monroe's now 0-4.
