    Mint Hill Army 5

    Michael Boles went 5 strong innings but Hunter Conley got the win with 4 innings of relief for Post 321.

    McWhirter threw 7 innings for Mint Hill allowing just three runs.

    Huntersville got to the Mint Hill bullpen in the 9th extending a 4-3 lead with 4 more runs.

    Michael Russell and Jared Fortune both went yard for Huntersville.

    Those Charlotte boys really can hit, top to bottom. Last night they put up two 6 run innings, which really shows their ability to swing it. Daniels, Snover, Powell, and Hull all had several hits. Can't forget Daniel Stewart's solid performance on the mound. These guys are legit.

    Paul Leonard gets the win for Huntersville. Ryan Ogden and Michael Russell also put up shutout innings in relief.

    Michael Russell hit his 2nd and 3rd homers of the season, while Jared Fortune hit his 2nd and Mikal Hill hit his 1st.

    Huntersville moves to 2-0 and will travel to Denver Sunday night.

    Justin Hammond gets the win for Huntersville going 5 innings and giving up just 2 earned runs.

    Daniel Whitecavage led Post 321 with a grand slam and 2 doubles.

    Adam Venditti had 2 singles and 2 doubles.

    Huntersville moves to 3-0 and hosts Kings Mountain in the home opener at North Meck on Monday.
