    Hunter Conley gets the win going 6 strong innings. Michael Boles threw three good innings in relief.

    Daniel Stewart takes the loss for QC.

    Michael Russell had four hits including his 5th and 6th homers of the season
    Jared Fortune hit his fourth homer of the season
    Diego Perez had a few big doubles
    Daniel Whitecavage hit his second homer of the year

    Huntersville moves to 7-0 and plays at Kings Mountain Monday night.

    Huntersville really took it to the Mustangs last night. Very talented team with hitters throughout the lineup and outstanding pitching from Connely and Boles. After getting down big early, the Mustangs slowly got the lead down to 4 in the 7th inning never showing any signs of quitting or giving up.

    Not to take anything away from Huntersville, but, it needs to be noted that Queen City played without 4 starters and had many players playing out of their normal positions defensively. Should be an interesting rematch when both teams are at full strength in a couple weeks.

    UC beat Gastonia 5-4 Friday 6/3
    UC swept a doubleheader vs Monroe Thursday 6/2, 11-3 and 14-4.
    UC beat Charlotte 4-3 Wednesday 6/1.

    Post 535 stands at 7-1 on the season, the loss coming to Huntersville.
