    There are several teams in NC that could compete at the Gold level.
    All of us at NC ASA would love to have some teams register Gold and try to make the Gold Nationals.
    You're right Rodney, it's very expensive. The only Gold qualifying tournaments anywhere close are the region and sector usually held in guess where, GA or TN. They have got a lock on it because of the amount of teams that play Gold from those areas.
    One of my asst. coaches says "Gold is just a color". There are a ton of "A" teams we see that would do well in Gold. Our little group of Cardinals has faired pretty well against a few of the qualified Gold teams that will be in attendance at OKC.

    Congratulations to the CC Challengers

    The Cabbarus County Challengers just concluded a successful summer session with the ASA Nationals in Owensboro KY. The Challengers were defeated by a quailty San Diego State pitcher. The Challengers finnished
    the summer season with an overall record of 35-2-8 in ASA play.
    During that time they went 5-0 against " Gold " teams.......
    Congratulations to our senior ladies off to start their college careers.

    Play the VA Legends @ 6 or 6:30 tonight.

    Another Win!!!

    The Cardinals just finished up against the VA Legends with a 5-0 victory. On to the winners bracket finals Sunday. They will play the Indy Edge. Go get'em Cards!!!

    I think that puts the Cards no worse than third out of 144 teams!!
