Couple of NC teams in this 140 team field. Pool play began this morning at 8am. Results of pool play will seed the Championship Bracket.

    Lady Blues - 6
    Las Vegas Rage - 4

Complete game thrown by Chelsea Macaluso. Gave up 2 in top of first, then settled down to pitch a very fine game. On top of that, Mac hit a solo bomb to left in bottom of sixth to push lead to 6 - 4, then closed out game in top of seventh.

Lady Blues next game is Tuesday at 2pm vs. Team Florida, who beat the Bartlett Silver Hawks (IL) 8 - 3.

Sundevils play Richmond Ruckus today at 10am. Have not heard result of this game.

    GO NC!!!

Tell Brittany and Kala I said hey. Tell Kala she's come a long way since the State Games. I bet she could never had imagined she would be in Las Vegas playing ball. She's one of the best catchers I've ever seen.

Keep us updated. Who is the third NC player?

    It's a cold front!!

But, it's a dry heat, right??

At least the sweat evaporates immediately. The dessert air is like a big bath towel.

    Good luck out there!

talked to Coach Jeff Soots today (Sundevils). yeah, they lost a game they shouldnt of, but he also stated that his team went through 48 bottles of water in the first game. the heat is taking some out of the girls, but he feels that they will come back for the next game 7pm today and will be ready for the pool games to end and tournament to begin.

he also said he had to make sure his blue cross card was in his wallet, as heat stroke was surely in his future....lol

    good luck girls..............and jeff....lol
