    Majestic Park - Las Vegas

Just wanted to post a quick comment about the facility that was used for the ASA 18U Nationals. Without a doubt this is one of the finest facilities that we have ever played at. Their were twelve fields, all lighted, all at one location. Each field was identical in dimension, both dirt for infield, as well as outfield fences that were 6 feet tall and measured at 200 ft. in length. The dugouts were HUGE, with tons of room for players, coaches and equipment.

Majestic Park is located 20 minutes northwest of the Las Vegas Strip.

If you ever get an opportunity to play at Majestic Park, you will totally enjoy yourself. Awesome facility. Wish we had something like that here in Charlotte.

    Comments

Thank you for your kind comments! You are right, if we perform well on National level, all NC travel teams reap some benefit as college coaches from other areas of the country start to notice all our quality NC girls.
Lot of comments about the cost, Room from Saturday to Monday was $500 which included one day of internet at $14.95, food cost was just over $100 for me and my wife, and that included some adult beverage. Flight was $300.90 round trip, so you can travel on a budget if you want to watch your dollars. Money loss on gambling, $20! I am not a gambler, penny and quarter slots a couple times and I am off doing other things.
Rooms at Florence, Raleigh, Boulder, Columbia were all much higher and we stayed at NY/NY! Thanks to one of our special parents for planning all the hotel arrangements.
As Greg stated, one of if not the best facility, I have ever seen! All fields were within a rock throw of each other, all stands were covered as well as picnic areas all around fields! Quality all the way.

Let's get more teams to register ASA so we can get a qualifier or two in area, there are so many teams in the tournament that could not compete with our talent. NC is still not quite to the overall level of Cal and Florida top to bottom because we do not have the talent pool and have so many teams but I thought, the Blues had their best chance to win it all this year, we just did not finish in a couple incidents.
Good luck to all of you this fall!
