    Tough

This ASA A is 121 of toughest teams in the country so all are capable of beating each other. In these tournaments, the draw is important, the match-ups, time of games, etc. Scouting the other teams is very important and really has helped us win our games. The Cobras played well last night against a great Mustang team. Those Fla. Mustang had speed power and some good pitching. We have played Walt's teams many times over the years and he always has a very smart group.

    Yep. Same Mustangs.

GURU. Wow! What a great memory you have. The Tampa Mustangs that beat the Cobras in a very tough contest last night, do have several of the girls that the Carolina Copperheads team played a few years back in the NSA World Series. If my memory serves me correctly, we pulled out a tight battle in extra innings 5 - 3. I mentioned to Rodney last night while watching them play the Cobras that I recognized a few familiar faces on their team. They are a tough group, and are well schooled. I think if you match the Tampa Mustangs up against the Carolina Cobras 10 times, that the outcome in wins would be evenly split, 5 - 5.

Looking forward to watching the Cobras put the Texas Glory out of the tournament today at 4 0'clock. I feel a little butt whipping coming on!

    GO NC!!!

Lady Blues move on at Nationals

The Lady Blues defeated the Young Guns from Castro Valley, CA., 9 - 0 on Thursday evening, as Constance Orr pitches a one hitter. The bats were alive and well for the Blues, and Keeli Michael and Taylor Allen both went yard. Keeli's was of the GRAND SLAM variety.

    Great job by everyone!

The Blues will now take on the Florida Knockouts in a winner's bracket game at 4pm on Friday.

The Carolina Cobras will play the OC Dynasty (CA)., in an elimination bracket game on Friday at 8 am. The Cobras earned the right to play the OC Dynasty by defeating the Texas Glory 4 - 1. Hannah Pennell got the victory for the Cobras, and Mo Peeler pitched three innings of strong relief.

Good luck to both teams on Friday.

    GO NC!!!!

    Yes. Cobras advance.

The Carolina Cobras stayed alive in an elimination game this morning, hammering the OC Dynasty (CA) 12 - 1 in five innings. Winning pitcher was Emma Stevenson, and Hannah Pennell pitched 2 strong innings of relief, allowing only 1 unearned run and striking out 4.

The Cobras will now take on the San Diego Legacy in another elimination game at 12 noon. Good luck to the Cobras.

    GO NC!!!!!
