    Hard to trademark the terms "World Series" or "National Championship"

    Every sanctioning body has it's own. My DD played in (and won) the Babe Ruth 12U "World Series" and play in the USSSA 13U "World Series" and three PONY "World Series". Really, though, the pinnacle of amateur softball is the ASA 18U Gold Championship.

    ASA. There isn't a close second. NSA and USFA have good World Tournaments. NSA has a big following on the East Coast. USFA has a big following from Texas - East to Georgia. ASA has teams from coast to coast.
