Congratulations, Hats off & a Big ole SAL-LUTE to the Cabarrus County Mudslingers for bringing home the Blue Ribbon from the big dance held at the ASA Heat Stroke tournament in Burlington this past week-end.
After missing the bite of the Carolina Rattlers the "slingers" went on to be knocked off track by Team Titans ending Saturday's play.
But after a meal Saturday night of pinto's & bean dip the Mudslingers didn't run out of gas as they came back Sunday playing 5 straight back to back games, 10 solid hours of softball.
After the Mudslingers refused to be stung by the Apex Sting, unplugged the power of the Power Blue team, they again faced Team Titans (remember them?), knocking them off track to meet the Caroliona Curse, fending off twice the Curse's spells, to win the championship.
Nice week-end of softball, a well run tournament, hot, but good weather,& good sportsmanship, it just don't get any better than that!!!!!!!
Way to go Mudslingers & to the other teams, congratulations & thanks for your good sportsmanship. It was nice to meet alot of new people, & til we meet again Happy Trails to you. Thanks to Buster Everette for a well run tournament.

Congrats to the Mudslingers for getting first place. I can't wait till I get to play with my team again. I'm soo proud!! It sure is hard to sit there and watch, but I have to be with my Mudslingers.
The Real Deal, David Hill does have a way with words and we all love him for it.

On behlaf of the CC Mudslinger coaching staff, i cannot begin to describe how proud we were of the girls this past weekend. This was one the most amazing efforts i have seen in one day of softball. I know several were bruised and battered all weekend but hung in there Sunday wtih 10 plus hours strait of softball. AN AMAZING COMEBACK!!!

Just wanted to say to all the girls on the Mudslingers, I am proud to be a part of this team and was truly amazed at the effort that I saw on Sunday. I still believe we have only hit the tip of the iceberg on the talent level of this team. I am SUPER proud of everybody. Thanks to the parents for sticking it out on a muggy afternoon.
    GO SLLLLAANNNGGERRRS.

Thanks for your kind words, fivesmess. We faced some great competion this week-end. Even with your pitcher's stomach bug, we didn't take you lightly because we remember the whooping you put on us last year. You have a good team & well coached girls. As well with the Curse & the other teams we faced, it was good to play some good ole' softball competion. I know we'll meet again. David Hill
