Congratulations to Team NC 18u. The girls went 6-0 in Spartanburg this weekend in the ASA Regional Qualifier to earn their berth to the ASA Nationals this summer in Salem, VA.

Awesome job by the girls and their coaches, Buster Hill, Mike Ward and Josh Presley!

    Way To Go Team NC!

The Carolina Curve - Fain 14U won a berth to the 14U "A" Nationals this past weekend in Burlington going 6-1 in the qualifier. We lost our first bracket game to a very good Team Ga-Erb (who won the other berth) and battled all the way back through the loser bracket winning 6 in a row.

The tournament was heavily attended by teams from Georgia 9 of the 16 teams(some real good ones), a little disappointed not a better turnout from teams from NC (5 teams) or SC (2 teams) considering the location of the Qualifier.

The 14U "A" Nationals will be in Normal Ill this year.

Congrats to Tony & his staff and Buster for getting in a full tournament after all the rain we had last Thursday & Friday. We were able to start the torunament at 6pm on Saturday.

It was chilly in Burlington, but the bats were hot as the Curve played some great ball after dropping their first game on Saturday night winning 6 games in less than 24 hours after not getting done until 12:45 am Sunday morning. Curve won some tough games including a 2-1 win over the Lady Lightning Gold Futures, then a come from behind 6-5 win over Georgia Force 99 Dew, and a 3-1 win over a very tough Southern Force, before winning the final game on Sunday 12-1 over the NC Challengers Renzi. Winning the berth was a total team effort with 11 girls contributing at the plate and on the field. Look forward to heading back to Normal, Ill as this will be the second team in past there years that Coach Fain has taken to Normal, Ill. Congrats to the girls, parents, and staff with the Curve on a job well done. Look forward to competing in the ASA State this weekend.
