    Not sure about the other ages,but the 16u finished;
    Fast Pitch Fever
    Carolina Cardinals-Black
    Triad Power Red
    Congrats to Fast Pitch Fever on the win and congrats to the Cards who spent the Spring/Summer as a 1st year 14u and showed very well as a 16u.

    There was some great action out there this weekend at the 16u level and I absolutely agree with bugsdad that the scrappy little 14u Cards team showed excellently this weekend!

    We were pleased to be a part of one of the most nail biting games in the tournament this weekend. The Triad Power and FP Fever faced off in the semi's going into overtime with the international tie breaker rule with the final run coming across the plate for the Fever in a decision that came down to a judgement call - ball thrown by CF'er Cassie Edwards in to catcher Sierra Holmes with the tie going to the runner. FP Fever played an incredible game with their bats on fire, taking the win at 9-8. A huge round of congrats to them - especially after having to defeat the Card's twice for the championship! Well done ladies.

    My hats off to the young ladies on the Power that played this weekend while injured: Brittany (prior pin surgically inserted into her ankle ruptured through the skin this weekend) who pitched us through 3 games and gave 100% on shortstop all weekend and Sierra (partial fracture of r. wrist and sprained thumb/forefinger from tournament week prior) for pulling us through several games in LF, then taking us through the semi's on 3rd and as catcher. And Christy and JoJo who gave new meaning to leaving it all on the field as they left oodles of their skin and quite a bit of their blood behind in injuries sustained this weekend - way to battle ladies.

    Most exciting this weekend for all of us here on the Power, was playing with Michelle Gonzalez - a new addition for our 16u team next year. This young lady impressed us all by coming in as one of the youngest members of our team with an incredibly strong showing at 2B and at bat. We look forward to a great season with her next year!
