I read all this about who gives the most exposure and where the most colleges will be but it seems that this comes mostly from parents. Not all but MOST of the girls I talk to just want to go play and have fun especially after a stress filled high school season. They get to renew old friendships, make new ones and play some enjoyable softball against good competition. A very small percentage ever play in college and many of those who do find it is not what they thought it would be. Don't get me wrong for a small few it ends up being a good thing but most of the girls just want to enjoy playing ball. Nsa, and even usssa put on some very enjoyable tournaments. My daughter played in all the different sanctions with a successful team and even went on to play in college she will tell you now some of her most fun was had at the low profile type tournaments. All to often we as parents and some coaches lose perspective of want our kids want. Just let them play and have fun if they are good enough and want to play in college it isn't very hard to do. Get your name out to the schools and you can find somewhere to play.

    NSA Showcase Meeting

We are indeed meeting with Howard and NSA tomorrow evening in Charlotte to explore how to make this tournament more attractive to college coaches. We'll post an update in the next few days to announce some of the planned improvements.
