    Ashley Myers of Parkland High School and the Triangle Lightning signed her N.L.I. to attend Elon University. Found out tuesday that she is the first kid in the 30+ year history of Parkland high school to play Division 1 softball. She'll probably add more later, but we would like to officially thank the following people: Roger Lail, Angie Snyder, Richard Fulton, Mark Blair, Mike Calloway, Derrick Vaden, the entire Triangle Lighting coaching staff, and everyone else (especially present and past teammates) that have helped her follow her dream. Hopefully we'll have pictures on here soon. Mom and I are exceptionally proud as you can probably tell :jester:

    Great job Ashley And you did it all in spite of Sammys Coaching J/K I know they are Proud of you as we all are. This is just the start of it in the next few years we will be hearing more from the Brat Pack that used to run around South Little League Hopefully next year Sammy will give me a ride down to Elon to watch you play Wish you the best of times in the future

    Congrats! I know it's an exciting time for all. Ashley knows the game as well as any I have ever seen. This is well deserved.

    But it won't be too long before you'll have that other one to announce!

    Nice job Ashley, met U for the first time at Belmont Abbey and was impressed with catching ability, U will do well. Sammie, great job! Well maybe the wife deserves the credit! Ha Ha

    ... Ashley. You are solid player, & will make an immediate contribution to the Phoenix. Whenever the Cobras play you guys, I do not like seeing you come to bat. I know mom & dad are proud as they should be, your hard work has paid off. Good luck till ya play state !! LOL

    SWEEEEEET!....

    .....this lady is one fine ballplayer! She was my diamond in the rough that I thought might slip under the radar. In a not so distant post we, TBR, posted about kids who could play, but for some reason, they were not in the public/TBR eye,.....well, Asheley definitely caught my eye, AND I let it be known that she's tough! Elon got one DAMN good kid. I should know, she struck my DD out. Go get em hun, your friend, Marlin!
