Ashley Rhyne commits to Gardner Webb

    Congrats to Foothills HEAT and Walters State Community College pitcher, Ashley Rhyne, for committing to play her junior and senior years as a Gardner Webb Lady Bulldog. Coach Cole and Coach Reichert did a splendid recruiting job this summer, and we believe this is the perfect fit for Ashley. Meanwhile, Ashley will try to repeat as TCCAA Pitcher of the Year this spring for Walters State. Ashley is living proof that if you stay the course and seize your opportunities, good things will happen. Congrats Ashley, and it's going to be great driving 25 minutes to watch you pitch!

    I am thankful I had the opportunity to work with you on the Region 6 State Games team. I knew the first time I watched you pitch how special your talents were. It was a pleasure to get to know what a wonderful young lady you are. Much good luck to you this year and as you continue your career at Gardner Webb.

    Congratulations AR!!! A wonderful opportunity I am certain you have earned and will take full advantage of!!!! GWU will benefit greatly having you as a part of their program!!!
