    Catchers Guidelines

    Catchers participating will be given instruction on the aspects of playing the catcher position. This class will further the athlete's knowledge for the position, as well as the game of baseball. Catchers will be taught proper footwork in order to throw to all the bases, fielding bunts, and blocking. Catchers should be good receivers and will learn to receive the pitch using the framing technique. The leader on the field should be the catcher because he is the only player watching the entire field. With that being said, we will address being a vocal leader and learning to evaluate situations and giving directions. One of the most important tools for a good catcher is the mental side of the game. The athletes will learn the aspects of calling pitches. By the end of the class each participant will be a better catcher. ​



    Professional Catchers Class

    October 2, 9, 16 & 23rd​
    ​



    Class 1: 6-7pm….Ages 7-10-yrs
    Class 2: 7-8pm….Ages 11-13yrs ​



    Rates are $100.00 per Student​
