    It’s time to unleash your ability to take the mound with CONFIDENCE and COMMAND the strikezone. Former MLB player Jake Robbins will take you through a 4-week Professional Pitching Class where you will learn the keys to make you SUCCESSFUL.

    9-10 yrs:
    1) 5 Basic steps for building a solid pitching foundation
    a) footwork
    b) balance
    c) hand break
    d) how to use legs
    e) finish

    11-13 yrs:
    1) Continue to build a solid foundation for pitching
    2) How to control your body to command your fastball
    3) Work on a change up and learn to change speeds
    4) Establish a pick off move


    Jake Robbins is a Charlotte native graduating from Myers Park High School where he was a two sport All State athlete. During his senior year of High School he signed a letter of Intent to attend North Carolina State University on a baseball scholarship. Before attending NCSU Jake decided to sign a contract with the New York Yankees after being drafted that summer in the 11th round. He spent 7 years with the Yankees before becoming a free agent and moving on to achieve his goal of pitching in the big leagues with the Cleveland Indians in 2004. Jake finished his 14th professional season in 2007 playing with the Chicago White Sox Triple-A affiliate Charlotte Knights.
