Yea, I think the scout is the head coach over there. He is bringinging kids
from everywhere. It's like one of those basketball schools(OakHillacademy)
The best kids from all over the country are coming in with high hopes...
I heard it was a private school but they will compete in the 4A of NC
public schools. Wow , a dream come true ! Can't wait to see em.

In the west, Enka should rule 3-A again.

Madison and Owen should fight out the 2-A.
Owen will certainly miss the presence of Montreat pitching signee Shelby English. Coach Don McGeary still has a good core of players and solid young pitching.
Madison should be very, very strong. They lost all-conference 3B Rebekka Huff, now at Mars Hill. They also lost CF Leigh Ann Arrington. If I am correct, Madison has only 2 seniors this year, with the core being juniors and sophomores, including all conference/all state pitcher Laurel Gregg. Shoring up the hot corner with the absence of Huff may be the biggest issue. Gregg batted at the .500 level last year. Current junior Tiffany Taffer batted almost .400 last year and current junior Stephanie Tweed was tied for 4th place in WNC as a sophmore in HR's.
If Madison can live up to their potential, this could be a very good run over the next couple of years.

The faster they pitch the further there hit! lol. Good hitters love speed. Good catchers love the challenge of fast base runner. Sounds like they will have a decent starting base of girls. Wish them luck...
