    Gaston Christian made the journey down to High Point for the first ever meeting between the two schools. Brittany Smith picks up the win with a 1 hit shut out over the Cougars. She had 13k's 0 bb. Offensive leaders were Catherine Jones, who was rock solid behind the plate and was 2-4, Mary Christopher and Katie Welch had 2 RBI's each. Defensive stand out was Kelsey Burgess.
