Let me congrulate Julia and a outstanding job yesterday against the Spartans. I would be surprise if we faced anyone the rest of the year that will throw as well a Julia pitched yesterday.(her rise ball was out of the world, our kids would swing at it, even knowing that it was coming.)
While we did go scoreless, there were some bright spots for the Spartans, We did have several chances to score,(havent looked at the book, but if I remember I think Hobbs went 3 for 3, Casey Seagle and Casey Miller each had hits, and played well.
While yesterday was Julia's day, we play St.Stephens in a week or so, and maybe then it will be our day.

    Thanks

Thanks for the kind words about Julia. You can tell that South Caldwell is a very good softball team. I have no doubt that South Caldwell will play very well the next time we see them, we will have to play even better to win. Good luck this year, I'm sure you will have a good year. Wohoo!! Sounds like that whole group: Allie Cashion, Kalie Lang, Chelsea Leonard, Christine Johnson, Laural Gregg and the whole group are off to a good start. Go Blues

West Rowan 1 East Rowan 0 9 inns
What a game !!!! Both teams had a couple opportunities to score throughout the game, but the defense would come up with big plays to end the inning.Last inn. Erin Foster(Cobras) reached base on a HBP, Stacie Raney(Cobras) drove her in for winning run. Haley Barrier threw her heart out, & shut down the big bats for West, just couldn't get that 1 run she needed to win. Haley, you hold that head up real high, cause you were awesome !!!!
East Rowan may have lost some from last yr, but they'll be in the playoffs.

Shout out to one of my old players sophomore Taylor Clendenin who pitched 2 innings of scoreless relief for the Raiders. Great kid pitching in her first varsity outing......
