    Former Smokie Brian Holberton (Myers Park/UNC) drafted in the 9th Round by the Astros (also heading to the CWS) and Current Smokie Ryan Butler (Ardrey Kell/UNCC) drafted by the Yankees in the 16th!

    Three current players heading to Omaha to participate in the College World Series, Jake Fincher (Providence/NCSU), Logan Ratledge (Ardrey Kell/NCSU) and John Mangum (Cuthbertson/NCSU).
