At 6-foot-6 and 192 pounds, Miller has the long, lean frame that scouts love. At times he throws across his body and struggles to maintain his delivery, and he got rocked for eight runs in one outing this spring. But he usually has been dominant, coming back from that debacle to strike out 20 batters in his next game.

He generally has pitched at 92-94 mph and has touched 97 mph. His hard slider is arguably the best among high schoolers, and he has thrown an above-average changeup at times. He projects to add 15-20 pounds and get stronger as he matures physically.

"I can’t imagine anyone better," a third scouting director said. "The righthanders aren’t anywhere close to him."

Of course according to a TB DevilRay scout his projection has Miller at #6 overall in the MLB draft.
