The South Charlotte Sports Report has joined forces with Alan Tyson of Architech Sports here in Charlotte to offer a Baseball Arm Care and Velocity Development Clinic inside Ardrey Kell High School on December 12th from 9:00am-3:30pm

After publishing the South Charlotte Sports Report Youth Sports Newspaper, and starting the Greater Charlotte Hot Stove League Dinner and The Battle of The Border Showcase Event the last 3 years, I have learned a great deal about how important arm care is for our young pitchers. Alan Tyson and I have joined forces to hold this clinic to help pitchers from age 12-18. We want to accomplish two goals with the Clinic, the primary one being how to take care of your arm and reduce your chances of becoming a statistic. The second is to talk about increasing velocity without increasing injury.

Alan Tyson is the President of Architech Sports Performance. He is a physical therapist board certified as a sports clinical specialist, a certified athletic trainer and certified strength and conditioning specialist. He has worked with the Charlotte Knights (AAA affiliate of the Chicago White Sox) and continues to serve as a consultant to the team. Alan has worked with more pitchers than anyone in the Southeast.

I have a feeling that some of you that post on here have met Alan or have had Alan work with your kids.

This clinic is not a pitching lesson, it's not set to teach you how to throw a curveball,, its here to instruct the player and their parents on proper arm care and what to do when the elbow and shoulder starts to hurt, etc.

The clinic is only $90.00 and we hope that the parents of the pitchers will join the clinic at no additional cost.

Anyone who has a son that pitches should attend this program. I have had the pleasure of knowing Alan for years and what you will get out of this session is way beyond what you will learn anywhere else.
