    depends on the position... for catcher and quick reactions its harder to teach... because you cant teach quick reflexes its something that your born with... but pitching is more of a mental thing... if you can get yourself there mentally you have a better shot at being a better pitcher... i remember about halfway through the summer this season i kept getting rocked in practice... and trey dunnigan hit one about 400 feet on me that was followed by me laughing at how far it went... Coach hardee came over to me and told me straight up i was being too nice on the mound and needed a different mentality... more of a closers mentality... went out the next practice and sat down 9 straight... so yes you might need to be born with some natural talent... but its more of a repitition type thing then anything... the more you do it... the better you get... Coach Moore for appalachian football always tells me hes not looking for the most talented person... hes looking for the "heart of a warrior"

    Look at Pete Rose.

    He had ability, but a hugh heart and determination. Although he had skills to play at the minor league level, he made himself into the player he became.
