Wish I owned stock in the company that makes speedy dry.

In all seriousness, this weather sucks. I suspect if it keeps up, many teams will be playing everyday if some aren't already.

    Making up all these games....

It don't look good at all for playing baseball this week. We may see any remaining nonconference games and possibly even some Easter Tournaments cancelled in order for teams to simply get their conference games played...

I agree about the weather sucking. It don't look like the rain will let up much at all this week, and the fields have already had bookoos of water dumped on them just in the last 12 hours....

It was the prospect of exactly these conditions that prompted the Southwestern 4A to place a week between the conclusion of its regular season and its conference tournament. Games will get shifted into that open week, as needed. It could be that way in other conferences, as well.

4/8 weather in the Charlotte area:

Flash flood watch with heavy rains in the afternoon on Tuesday, 4/8. A slow moving rain system with wet weather thru Thursday.

Coach Bagwell @ South Meck has just put in an order for a ton of "quick dry" from Lesco Restorations!!! Get ready to play some possible baseball games this coming weekend!

    I'm here. Where are you?
The heavy rain has held up most of the day and what was yesterday has had chance to soak

I think it wloud be a true test of a field and its crew if someone were able to get their field ready by 7pm..

the clock is ticking and shoes are getting muddy

work like hell boys there are games to be played

I hate to say it guys BUT it would be best if most of the JV games were cancelled and the Varsity matchups moved up to 5:30-6:00 ... give time to get the field ready, but most won't take a lot of tearing up from an earlier game. You would like to have the field in the best possible shape for the varsity match-up......

Maybe do home/aways for another week??? Games at 5:30????
