Louisburg beat Salem 10-0 and 7-0 today to get their record back above .500 at 5-4. I know Erik Lovett had 2 HRs in the first game. About all I have heard about so far.

Monarchs used the longball and a few base hits in the first game to pull out a victory.
In the second game the Monarchs trailed for a majority of the game, but tied the game with a 1st and 3rd execution steal when the runner on first(Andy Redman) drew a throw from the pitcher and the runner on 3rd(Josh Harris who stole 2 bases to get to 3rd) stole home. On the throw home the runner at first advanced to third on a throwing error from the first baseman. David Hoffman drove in Andy Redman to take the lead and seal the victory for the Monarchs

Christopher Newport vs. Methodist College at 1 p.m. Monarchs are looking for a sweep and a 3-0 start in conference

    Methodist College Monarchs 8-0 (2-0)
    Christopher Newport Captains 2-7 (0-2)

USC waxed Niagra Friday and Saturday, Game 3 today. Willard is still hitting over .400 with 2 HRs now.

Bobby Felmy hit a walk off grand slam with two outs in the bottom of the 10th for the Bulldogs, and the series was split one game a piece.
