Super night of baseball at Winthrop this evening. You guys that came out were super to be around and all the boys on both teams were so respectful and thankful to be a part of the event.

Their parents and coaches have done a super job raising these kids and ballplayers.

It was so cool to see kids from so many places come together. Sitting in a row on the bench one time tonight, I went down the order to see kids from these organizations sitting beside each other and laughing together, Megastars, On Deck, CBC Diamond Rats, HeelSplitters, Carolina Reds, Bonecrushers and many more! It was so neat to see. A great night to honor these travel ball players.

The charlotte based team came out on top both games, Game 1 wasn't as close as the Class of 2012 game that saw the Charlotte group win 2-1

The two MOP's for the night were Foster Machicote and Tyler Chadwick, It was great to share an award with these fine young men.

Tuesday night should be something special to watch. The college coaches are all excited about The Future Stars Game and everyone is looking forward to seeing the recently graduated kids on the field. We have major league draft picks, a TON of college signed kids and even a few football scholarshipers ready to battle and close out their Travel/Showcase careers.

Come on out and join us at Winthrop, games are at 4:30 and 7:15

To everyone that gave me a pat on the back tonight and a word of thanks, We certainly appreciated the words.

Travel Ball is alive and well with so many great players in the area

I should also add I had my own special moment as my 6 year old dressed in his NC uniform and played the role of batboy! I felt so proud to see him hustle after every bat and for the boys to treat him so special. I can only imagine the feeling you Dad's had watching your son at the game and being introduced! Hopefully that will be Tyler in about 8 years playing instead of carrying bats :)
