Mother nature finally lost last night and we played 9 innings of fun baseball for the seniors. Leighton Daniels bomb at his future home park (Winthrop) gave the East Meck star the MVP award. We lost the HR Derby to weather, but the game was lots of fun.

Blue team really competed and placed the first run on the board with one of the fastest baseball players I have ever seen Josh Greene of York.

This night is special as all these kids will never be on the same field together again. It sort of a graduation present and lots of fun.

Special thanks to Alex Baker and Ryan Butler for their time spent with my 7 year old Tyler,,, Those are good boys...

Coach Knight and his staff had a lot of fun and he is a great asset for our event.

tonight, we get down to serious baseball with the 11's and 12s and 30-40 college coaches at the game. Come on out and see us at Winthrop, game times are 430 and 715

    Great First Night !

Thanks to Tripp and Shaeff for a great first night event !

There is some amazing talent in the area and the boys had a great time - they have all played together or against each other - on both sides - so it was fun to watch the good natured jawing back and forth.

What a great event and way to wrap up the year at graduation time.

    Thanks again !!

Bringing the heat after the storm...

I was a little late to the battle of the borders Senior game last night. I wasn't even sure it would be played after the rain and lightening came. I did make it though around the 3rd inning and I am glad that I did. I got to see some amazing athletes. Congrats to the MVP Leighton Daniels. He can really wing a bat! I was also amazed to see the catcher from the North team come to close the game on the mound after bging from behing the plate for nearly 4 innings. He pitched consistantly 90-92 mph on the radar fun. The kids name is Keith Prowse from Hopewell High. He reallly can bring the heat with great location!

It was a fun night seeing all this talent put together on the same field. There were some great defensive plays made both by the infield and outfields. Congrats to the mvp for the HR. south team Josh Green must be one of the fastest players alive( road runner speed ). Hopewell high Keith Prowse did light up the radar gun at 92 several times striking out 2 in the 9th inning. Kid struck out 50 battters in 23 innings this season for hopewell.
