Belmont Abbey Clinic

    Lee Swanson, head softball coach at Belmont Abbey is putting on a Skills Clinic, January 10th from 9-12 and January 17th 9-12 and 1-4 with lunch being served. He will have another session the next two weekends ( 1-24-04 and 1-31-04) using the same format. The cost is $100 if paid in advance and $125 if paid at the door. T-shirts will also be provided. Lee led the Crusaders to a 9-1 fall season and has some excitment back in the Abbey program. These clinics are fund raisers to assist the ball team in some necessary repairs and upgrades to the softball field. Let's all get out there and support our local colleges and universities.     They are open to all age groups and will devide them up according to skills and age.

    My pamplet stated 12 and Up but you can call Coach Swanson at 704 825-6801 to double check! Great opportunity clinic for young teens, sophomores and Juniors and not to mention the parents/coaches!

    If enough pitchers preregister Coach Swanson will fly in his former pitching coach from Iowa to specifally work with pitchers during the defensive sessions. She has won over a 100 games in school and in college another 100. She will work on mechanics warm up and game day prep.

    Just heard from Coach Swanson that ringor will also be sponsoring the camp and will donate a free pair of shoes to the camp MVP in each session. This will be voted on by coaches and abbey players.

    thats wonderful news, iowa! I have referred several rutherford county players and know of three so far that are committed>they are excited and looking forward to the camp! Good luck and thanks!;)
