    Congratulations to the TEAM

Congratulations to the entire team this was indeed an outstanding display of kids coming together and playing well when needed. First how about Daniel Kassouf a very sparingly used DH last year steps up and to date has hit 30 HR's. Michael Raymond, Tyler Powell, Andrew Morton pitching lights out baseball for three straight games in the regionals. Tyler McKenzie a senior left fielder led the team in average as the leadoff hitter - GREAT JOB in setting the table.

Congratulations guys have fun and success at the World Series!!:hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray::hurray:

What about the guys that committed to them? Will they have options? I know my son was strongly considering BA just to work with Anderson. Since he found out about the move a few weeks back, he is looking elsewhere

This is why so many people say, "make your decision based on the school. If you are going to a school simply based on baseball, that school may not be for you."

This is not something unusual. College baseball is a business and you must look at it that way. It will be difficult for the existing players and the recruits because all new coaches want to bring in their own players. But if you produce, it won't matter. The new coach will love you.

Personally, I don't blame either coach. The economy has affected their program and the administration has cut back scholarships and the number of games they play. There were probably some other issues that I have no knowledge of, but Coach Smith is a standup guy and probably didn't feel he could operate in the environment he found himself in.

All existing players can ask for a transfer without penalty as long as it's at a D2 school out of conference. If it's in conference they must seek a waiver. The same is true for incoming recruits, but it may be difficult to find another school at this time. Most people tend to wait until the new coach is named, but by doing so virtually rules out any chance to transfer this year.
