    Great Weekend for Lady Crusaders

    Exciting game in Florence today. Coker took an early 2-0 lead, but the ladies of Belmont Abbey fought back. The defense behind Blackwelder as well as her pitching stepped it up a notch after the first inning. The win was a great team effort by all. Leigh Carter, Haylie Claussen and Stephanie Spink were named to the All-Tournament team and Keri Blackwelder was named tourney MVP.

    and nice to see the runs scored for Keri and the Crusaders.......HighC stepped it up this weekend as did Spinky.....LEE LEE is just all-world as is MS CVAC herself....."KB"! :applause:

    Thanks for all the kind words and congrats. that our program has rec. here this year. I can honestly say what I saw this weekend was 10 individuals with 1 heartbeat coming together for the same goal. To everyone here thanks for you support.

    worst to first is just plain ole outstanding!

    enjoy the moment and the regionals are obtainable.... :banana:

    watched FMU, KSU, Armstrong Atlantic,USCS, NFL in the PeachBelt and got nixxed by the wife on florence :huh: :thinking: ....iowa :teeth:

    Lee great job! U and your players have worked hard and deserve this championship. The last time U lost was when I watched the Limestone double-header, wow hope it continues on in the regionals. Way to go Keri! Good work! Can't wait to be a part of the program. RET

    :banana: :banana: :banana: around here and we are extremely proud of the young ladies who stuck together all year long. After this past Fall i mentioned this to Several folks that you had better watch out for this Abbey team in the spring of 2004. BOOM.........you did it and gotta love the "local flair" this team has! Carter, Schaffer, Rodgers, Greene, Solomon, Blackwelder and to our out of staters, Gundy, Spinks, Clauseen and Bretchel!

    COY, first ever regional (if i am not mistaken) in softball and a CVAC Champions in Coach Lee Swanson first year in NC and at the ABBEY!! Just Outstanding!! :applause:

    LadyColt did you get down for the games? I know you were proud too!!

    Way to go BAC great finish to an unbeliveable season.
    Coach Swanson did a great job as did every player on the team.
    Its ALWAYS great to see Coker go home early. LOL.
