I have watched alot of high school softball over the years, and I believe that this years central cabarrus team is the best defensive team that I have seen. Lets here from all you softball junkies around the state,on who you think is the best you've seen. Good luck to all the teams that are trying to get to raleigh, it's been a great year for high school ball.:trophy:

    hard to choose

Saw CC play last night, they looked pretty solid on the infield. Catcher made a great PO in the first inning at second base. A couple of miscues in the OF on foul balls. Could have been the lights, who knows. No question they are good! They swing the bat better than anyone I have seen in HS this year

Weddington has been playing pretty good defense all year. Don't know how many of you have seen them play, but they have all the fundamentals and much more. Seems they are young too. Of course there are lots of good pitchers out there, but I believe Weddington is having the year they are because of their defense and timely hitting.

    Catcher

The best catcher I have ever seen (defensively & offensively) -> Brea Chenney (Forestview '04). Unbelievable behind the plate...a monster at the plate...Batted over .700 and could nail you at 2nd from behind the plate from her knees. Ball thorn so hard, would bruise hands when caught at 2nd...

no look throws to first or third stunned a lot of girls in our conference with disbelief that she could do that.. it was better to be picked off than hit by that throw.
