    Caldwell County Post 29 - 2000

Team won the State Championship in 2000! Lost to Cherryville in area finals but won the state championship outright! Team was made up of 13 south caldwell boys and the rest where from other caldwell county teams. The team had the heart!

It was the state finals, Newell won 4-1 instead of a sweep. That Newell team was coached by Gary Robinson, He was 23 at that time. The team sent alot of players to the college ranks and several players all the way to the majors.

    Cheryville Post 100 "2003"

After a disappointing finish in 2002, the returning players on the 2003 team had a goal. Win the state championship.
Cherryville won the area IV title, beating Pineville in the finals. Cherryville won the state title, also beating Pineville in the finals. (Area IV was very strong in 2003. Caldwell, Hickory, Shelby, and Pineville were all good teams.)
Cherryville won the Southeast Regionals in Rock Hill, S.C., beating Alabama in the finals.
Cherryville made it to the World Series finals in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
