Going on memory (which can be poor), Cal graduated from East Rowan back in 2002.

I'll nominate Brian Roberts, Chapel Hill High, now playing 2B with the Orioles.

How about Bryan Harvey, relief pitcher for the Angels and Marlins from '87 thru '95. Played at UNC-C. Won the Rolainds AL Fireman of the Year award in "91 and he may have pitched in an All Star game.

I had no idea James Baldwin came out of NC...he's still a pretty solid pitcher.

also concurs with Roberts with the O's! I had the pleasure of sitting and having lunch with him at the NCHSAA Annual Baseball Meetiing the year he was named Freshman of the Year at Carolina. Pretty level headed kid with a great attitude. I learned quite a bit from him as did he from I, and was very humble and appreciative of the advice I had to offer. I recollect our conversation vividly. Fortunately some youngsters do still mind and pay attention to "old" washed up coaches and teachers...unlike the many, many others I tried to help both on and off the field who could not seeeeeeeeeeeeee clearly beyond themselves! :banginghe :banginghe :banginghe
