    Hey just wanted to point out that the 3A Big East//New 6 has now had a representative in the Eastern Regional Finals for 4 straight years...

    2007-Northern Nash
    2008-Rocky Mount
    2009-Northern Nash
    2010-Wilson Hunt

    Now they have only produced one state championship out of those 3 previous visits but does any other conference have such a streak going?

    Makes one wonder what that final could look like if they didn't have conference teams beat each other up in the early rounds...should be some great baseball this weekend...

    What broke the streak was a team with a guy named Madison Bumgarner

    In 3A

    North Piedmont has been strong the past 3 years:

    2008: East Rowan- State runner-up
    2009: Lake Norman- State Champion
    2010: East Rowan- In regional series

    Two teams accomplished something I think is impressive.

    - East Rutherford won the State Championship in '02, '03, and '04 (Chad Flack years) in 2A. They quit being greedy for awhile then came back in '07 to win it again.

    - In 2005, Coach Mills at DH Conley won the 4A Championship, then followed that the next year winning the 3A Championship

    I know in the early 2000's when East Rutherford was making their run that in 1A coach Gary Nail had a very talented group made up of Timmy Smith, Nic and Zach Conaway and a kid by the name of Ackley (maybe you've heard of him) and they won 3 straight 1-A State championships in 5 years I think and played in the championship 4 of the 5 years? I may be wrong here, but I do know that South Stokes won 3 consecutive state tites!
