Kannapolis travels to Thomasville next week to take on the Bulldogs.

Very tough match-up for the young WONDERS against one of the very best programs in NC.

Now you know that was a dry county untill a couple of years ago, they didn't run to the liquor store in the daylight.

    Dudley @ Ragsdale

big big big game. Rematch of last year's 3AA East playoff game between two 13-0 teams. Wouldn't surprise me if these two teams don't meet again this year in the 4A West playoffs. Dudley won it last year 26-10 on the way to another title. Game was closer than the final score though. Ragsdale was down 20-10 with first and goal from the one early in the fourth quarter; score there and it would have been a different ball game. But the Dudley D did what they did to everybody else last year.

Dudley lost a bunch of starters especially on that fearsome D-Line but they return another bunch of athletes and probably won't miss a beat. Ragsdale returns almost the entire defense and has good skill position players and special teams.

The stadium is probably going to be standing room only Friday night. Braves if you think you might be coming you gotta let me know. You won't see a better this week.

Ok.....first of all East Lincoln did not beat Newton last year. We destroyed them 35-6. We lost some key players but have reloaded and have looked well in our scrimmages. I personally think Newton will win this game by atleast 3 touchdowns.

    Hopewell at Independence

I'm not sure what to expect from Hopewell against Independence but I will be at the game and will post some game photos on TBR.

For those of you on football that don't know me I'm a big Hopewell and North Meck homer. Go TITANS!!!

This game doesn't get the press that Ktown-Concord does but it's every bit as intense. South hasn't won a lot of the games but the teams and fans are rabid about the game every year.

something i learned a few years back in my playing days.. Don't ever take scrimmages to the bank. Nobody game plans and scouts a scrimmage so more than likely u can take the worst that you looked and the best that you looked in the scrimmages and plan on your team being somewhere in the middle. Scrimmages are like a crap shoot. But even with that I still think E. Lincoln and NC will be one heck of a ballgame. Let's hope the rain miraculously stays away just like it did last week!
