Big time match ups

    With us being less than a month from opening day, lets post some Dates/times of some of the "Can't miss ballgames/match ups this year."

    Here are a few in the central/East part of NC that I think would be worth the trip...............

    One of the biggest in the Raleigh area will be Friday, April 15th at 7 pm. Wake forest Rolesville will make the 5 mile trip to Rival Wakefield. Big time pitching match up.

    Another one that I do not have the date for is New Bern making a trip to Greenville Rose. Great Pitcher against one of the best Hitting teams in the State.

    New Bern vs Hoggard..........I think this early??

    South Mecklenburg versus Independence on March 16....

    This is a mid-week sandwich game once both teams are into their conference schedules. For South Meck, it's between Olympic and Garinger. For Independence, it's between West Mecklenburg and West Charlotte.

    Neither team can ignore their tuesday opponent and take them lightly, so the #1 pitchers might already be burned before the game is played.

    You can't waste everyone with another conference game coming up that week. This game will be a good reflection of over-all team depth for each squad.

    I know at some point Christian is playing Rose. I'd like to see that.

    JH Rose vs. Charlotte Christian

    these 2 play Thursday, March 24 at 5pm at Rose. should be a great game to watch, highly competitive with some great athletes on the field.

    Another good game will be Christian vs. Ashbrook at christian on March 8

    Parkland vs Glenn

    March 8 at Glenn. Usually a big rivalry that is always won by Glenn. But this year Parkland will compete and have a chance to win. Game time is 7:00. The second match up between these two teams is April 15 at Parkland.

    I don't know what day they are to play, but Independence vs. North Meck is big - both times they play. These two teams and South Meck not only have the talent to challenge for, but also to win the 4A state championship and they play each other during the regular season so it should be very interesting.

    Unfortunately, my sons school has six total games scheduled against these three.
